Ramen Mario

We got a bit lost on the way to nara Park and found this place after another diversion to the local hard off. Had the lunch menu. Amazing pork ramen, the broth was rich and tasty, the 2 currys were tasty with good portions. It's worth getting lost for.

The richest ramen broth I’ve ever tasted…couldn’t conceive of anything this thick and rich until tasting it. My friend got the 20 thick tonkotsu—something for Olympic champions to recover with. Undeniably delicious. I’m only sad I couldn’t drink my broth at the end.

If you want authentic Japanese noodles late at night this is your place. Staff is very friendly, menu was not in English so we told the waiter to order whatever. He brought back some of the best noodles we have ever had and a plate of chicken curry with rice which was AMAZING!

After confirming with the menu in the restaurant, we decided to go with the Level 3 (1000 yen) and Level 15 pork broth ramen (1450 yen) just to compare the difference. We also added a side of char siew (300 yen). Hence, the total came up to 2750 yen. The staff took down our orders promptly and were actually able to speak English, directing us to the self-service towels and water at the rear of the restaurant. Next to us, we observed that other guests had ordered char siew or curry rice – which are also specialties in Mario Ramen. However, most guests went for the ramen with a bowl of rice on the side. In particular, the young adults next to us finished their noodles and rice within 10 minutes! A good sign about the quality of the food that we were to try here at Ramen Mario... 本日は奈良に来ていたので こちらのお店にやってきました まりお流さんです ならとゆえばとゆうほどの 人気店です。 濃厚なスープがメイン コッテリを注文 唐揚げとご飯のセットをいただきます。 スープはかなり、濃厚 麺にもしっかり絡みます 唐揚げはなかなかのボリューム お腹いっぱいになりますね チャーシューは薄めのやつが、大きく一枚あります。 夜はもっと濃厚なスープもあったりするので 興味本意で食べてみたいですね。 ご馳走様でした。

「まりお流」は、“こってりラーメンの聖地”として知られる、近鉄「新大宮」駅から徒歩約20分の大宮通り沿いにあるお店です。駐車場も完備されています。 この日は平日の20時00分に、1人で訪れました。 店内はカウンター席、テーブル席、座敷を備えた開放的な空間で、総席数は約50席。いわゆる大箱の店舗です。 メニューには、こってりラーメンが複数あります。また、「富士山（濃度20）」や「オリンポス（濃度30）」といった、さらに濃度を高めた超こってり系ラーメンも用意されています。 今回はその中から、「霧島プレミアム（税込2,727円）」を注文しました。 プレミアムには、太麺、トントロチャーシュー、煮卵がセットになっています。 スープは非常に濃密で、レンゲが立つほどの粘度です。やや黒みを帯びた見た目で、じっと見つめているだけでも食欲を刺激されます。麺を持ち上げるとスープがしっかりと絡みつき、一口すすれば、重厚な旨味が口いっぱいに広がります。まさに「濃度そのものを味わう」かのような一杯です。 太麺は全粒粉を使用しており、軽くウェーブがかかっています。スープとの絡みも良く、小麦の香りも感じられました。 トッピングのトントロチャーシューは食べ応えがあり、濃厚なスープに負けない存在感を放っています。 奈良や関西エリアで、こってり系ラーメンを無性に食べたくなった際には、候補の一つに加えてみては、いかがでしょうか？
